Property rights
The sum total of the rights pertaining to property ownership. In the case of real property it embraces the right to quiet enjoyment, the right to sell, to mortgage, to lease, to bequeath, to regain possession at the end of a lease, to build and remove improvements, and to control the property's use within the law. In short, it describes the scope of legal protections granted to property ownership.
