Queens College is one of the senior colleges of the City University of New York (CUNY) system. Located in Flushing, Queens, it was established in 1937 and offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in a wide range of disciplines.

Queens College was founded in 1937 to provide higher education to the residents of Queens, New York City. The college was established on the site of the former Parsons Boulevard campus of the New York Parental School, a reform school for boys. The first president of Queens College was Paul Klapper, who served from 1937 to 1952.
Campus[edit | edit source]
The Queens College campus spans 80 acres and features a mix of historic and modern buildings. Notable buildings include Klapper Hall, Rosenthal Library, and the Aaron Copland School of Music. The campus also includes the Godwin-Ternbach Museum, which houses a diverse collection of art and artifacts.

Queens College offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs through its four academic divisions: the Division of Arts and Humanities, the Division of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, the Division of Social Sciences, and the Division of Education.
