RaeLynn (born Racheal Lynn Woodward on May 4, 1994) is an American country music singer and songwriter. She first gained recognition as a contestant on the second season of The Voice in 2012, where she was a member of Blake Shelton's team.
Early life[edit | edit source]
RaeLynn was born in Baytown, Texas. She began singing at an early age and was influenced by the music of Miranda Lambert and Dolly Parton. RaeLynn decided to pursue a career in music and moved to Nashville, Tennessee to follow her dreams.

The Voice[edit | edit source]
In 2012, RaeLynn auditioned for the second season of The Voice. She performed Pistol Annies' "Hell on Heels" and chose Blake Shelton as her coach. RaeLynn advanced to the quarterfinals before being eliminated from the competition.
Post-The Voice[edit | edit source]
After her time on The Voice, RaeLynn signed a record deal with Republic Nashville. She released her debut single, "Boyfriend," in 2012, which charted on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. In 2014, she released the single "God Made Girls," which became her first top 10 hit on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.
In 2015, RaeLynn released her debut EP, Me, which included the singles "God Made Girls" and "For a Boy." She continued to build her career with the release of her debut studio album, WildHorse, in 2017. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.
Recent work[edit | edit source]
RaeLynn has continued to release new music and tour extensively. In 2020, she released the EP Baytown, named after her hometown. She has also collaborated with other artists, including Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert.
Personal life[edit | edit source]
RaeLynn married Joshua Davis in 2016. The couple resides in Nashville, Tennessee. RaeLynn is known for her advocacy work, particularly in support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), as she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at a young age.
