Rain (entertainer)
Rain (born Jung Ji-hoon on June 25, 1982) is a South Korean singer, songwriter, dancer, actor, and music producer. He is widely recognized for his contributions to the K-pop industry and his successful crossover into international markets.

Rain was born in Seosan, South Korea. He developed an interest in dancing and singing at a young age. Rain attended Anyang High School of Arts where he honed his skills in dance and performance.

Music[edit | edit source]
Rain debuted as a solo artist in 2002 with the album Bad Guy. His breakthrough came with his third album, It's Raining (2004), which sold over a million copies in Asia. Rain's music is known for its blend of R&B, hip hop, and pop.

Rain made his acting debut in the 2003 drama Sang Doo! Let's Go to School. He gained widespread fame for his role in the 2004 drama Full House, which was a major hit across Asia. Rain has also appeared in Hollywood films such as Speed Racer (2008) and Ninja Assassin (2009).

Rain's international success includes his recognition by Time magazine, which named him one of the "100 Most Influential People" in 2006 and 2011. He has also held successful concerts and tours across Asia, North America, and Europe.
