Rakai General Hospital

Rakai General Hospital is a public hospital located in the Rakai District of Uganda. It is one of the major healthcare facilities in the region, providing a range of medical services to the local population.

The hospital is situated in the town of Rakai, which is the administrative and commercial center of the Rakai District. The district is located in the Central Region of Uganda, approximately 190 kilometers by road, southwest of Kampala, the capital and largest city of Uganda.

Rakai General Hospital is a public hospital, funded by the Government of Uganda. It is administered by the Uganda Ministry of Health. The hospital provides general medical services, including surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, and internal medicine. It also offers specialized services such as HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention, reflecting the high prevalence of the disease in the Rakai District.
