Raymond Tallis (born 10 October 1946) is a British philosopher, poet, novelist, cultural critic, and retired medical doctor. He is known for his work in the philosophy of mind, philosophical anthropology, literary theory, and his critique of post-structuralism. Tallis has also written extensively on the nature of time, the philosophy of language, and the philosophy of science.

Raymond Tallis was born in Liverpool, England. He attended Keble College, Oxford, where he studied medicine. After completing his medical degree, he pursued a career in medicine and academia.
