Red Bank is a borough in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. It is located on the Navesink River, the town is a center of commerce and culture in the region.

Red Bank was originally formed as a town on March 17, 1870, from portions of Shrewsbury Township. It was incorporated as a borough on March 10, 1908. The name "Red Bank" is believed to have been derived from the red soil along the Navesink River.
Geography[edit | edit source]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 5.7 square kilometers, of which 5.2 square kilometers is land and 0.5 square kilometers is water. Red Bank is bordered by the Navesink River to the north and is adjacent to Middletown Township, Fair Haven, and Little Silver.

As of the 2020 United States Census, the population of Red Bank was 12,936. The borough is known for its diverse community and vibrant downtown area.

Red Bank serves as a commercial hub for the region, with a variety of retail, dining, and entertainment options. The downtown area is home to numerous boutiques, restaurants, and art galleries.

Red Bank is accessible via the Garden State Parkway and New Jersey Route 35. The Red Bank station provides NJ Transit rail service on the North Jersey Coast Line.
