Reuterin

Reuterin is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial compound produced by the bacterium Lactobacillus reuteri. It is a multi-component system consisting of acrolein, 3-hydroxypropionaldehyde (3-HPA), and the hydrate of 3-HPA. Production
