Rica-rica

Rica-rica is a type of Indonesian spice mix used in many dishes. It originates from the North Sulawesi region and is known for its fiery and spicy flavor profile. The name 'rica-rica' refers to the hot and spicy taste of the dishes that use this spice mix.

To prepare rica-rica, the ingredients are first chopped and then ground together using a mortar and pestle or a food processor. The resulting paste is then sautéed in oil until fragrant, before being used to season the main ingredient of the dish. The dish is then cooked until done, with the rica-rica providing a spicy and flavorful kick.
