North Sulawesi
North Sulawesi is a province in Indonesia, located in the northern part of the Sulawesi island. It is known for its rich biodiversity, unique culture, and distinctive cuisine.

North Sulawesi is bordered by the Celebes Sea to the north, the Molucca Sea to the east, the Gulf of Tomini to the west, and the provinces of Gorontalo and Central Sulawesi to the south. The province includes several islands, the largest of which are Sangihe, Talaud, Siau, and Bunaken.

The history of North Sulawesi is marked by the influence of various kingdoms, such as the Kingdom of Manado, Kingdom of Bolaang Mongondow, and Kingdom of Sangihe Talaud. The region was later colonized by the Dutch East India Company and incorporated into the Dutch East Indies.

The culture of North Sulawesi is a blend of indigenous traditions and influences from Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, and Dutch colonialism. The region is known for its traditional Minahasa wooden houses, vibrant dance and music, and annual festivals such as the Manado International Choir Competition and Tomohon International Flower Festival.

North Sulawesi's cuisine is noted for its bold flavors, with dishes often featuring pork, seafood, and a variety of spices. Popular dishes include Tinutuan, a vegetable porridge, and RW, a spicy pork dish.
