Robin Horsager-Boehrer
Robin Horsager-Boehrer is a renowned Obstetrician and Gynecologist who is currently serving as the Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UT Southwestern). She is also a Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the same institution.
Education and Training[edit | edit source]
Dr. Horsager-Boehrer completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then pursued her medical degree at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Following her graduation, she completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
Career[edit | edit source]
Dr. Horsager-Boehrer began her career at UT Southwestern in 1992. She has held several leadership positions within the institution, including serving as the Program Director for the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program. In 2016, she was appointed as the Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Horsager-Boehrer is also involved in research. Her research interests include prenatal diagnosis, fetal therapy, and medical education. She has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented her work at national and international conferences.
Honors and Awards[edit | edit source]
Throughout her career, Dr. Horsager-Boehrer has received several awards and honors for her contributions to the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. These include the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) Mentor Award and the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) Excellence in Teaching Award.
