Rosemont, Pennsylvania is a community located in the United States, specifically in the state of Pennsylvania. It is part of the Main Line, a series of affluent Philadelphia suburbs located along the old Pennsylvania Railroad's once prestigious Main Line.

Rosemont is located in the eastern part of Pennsylvania, in Delaware County and Montgomery County. It is bordered by the communities of Bryn Mawr and Villanova.

The community of Rosemont was established in the late 19th century, following the expansion of the Pennsylvania Railroad. It was named after the Rosemont Farm, a historic estate located in the area.

Education[edit | edit source]

Rosemont is home to Rosemont College, a private, coeducational, Catholic liberal arts college founded in 1921. The community is also served by the Lower Merion School District, which operates Rosemont Elementary School.

Transportation[edit | edit source]

Rosemont is served by the Rosemont Station, which is part of the SEPTA Paoli/Thorndale Line. This provides residents with direct rail access to Philadelphia.

Several notable individuals have ties to Rosemont, including Katharine Hepburn, the acclaimed actress who attended Bryn Mawr College, and Ezra Pound, the influential modernist poet and critic who was born in the community.
