Rum-bar rum

From WikiMD's Wellness Encyclopedia

Rum-Bar Rum is a popular brand of rum originating from Jamaica. It is produced by the Worthy Park Estate, a historic Jamaican sugar estate and distillery.

History[edit | edit source]

The Worthy Park Estate has a rich history dating back to 1670. However, it wasn't until 2005 that the estate began producing Rum-Bar Rum. The rum is made using traditional Jamaican methods, which include the use of a pot still for distillation.

Production[edit | edit source]

Rum-Bar Rum is a pot still rum, meaning it is distilled in a single, large pot. This method of distillation is traditional in Jamaica and is known for producing rums with a rich, heavy flavor. The rum is made from sugarcane juice, which is fermented and then distilled. The distillate is then aged in oak barrels to develop its flavor.

Varieties[edit | edit source]

There are several varieties of Rum-Bar Rum, including Rum-Bar Silver, Rum-Bar Gold, and Rum-Bar Overproof. Each variety has its own unique flavor profile and alcohol content. Rum-Bar Silver is a white rum, Rum-Bar Gold is an aged rum, and Rum-Bar Overproof is a high-proof rum.

Reception[edit | edit source]

Rum-Bar Rum has been well-received both in Jamaica and internationally. It has won several awards, including gold medals at the RumXP International Tasting Competition and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
