It is a project of the SafetyLit Foundation in cooperation with the San Diego State University and the World Health Organization's Department of Violence and Injury Prevention.

Overview[edit | edit source]

SafetyLit provides abstracts of reports from researchers who work in the more than 30 distinct professional disciplines relevant to preventing unintentional injuries, violence, and self-harm. History[edit | edit source]

SafetyLit was established in 1995 by David Lawrence, an injury epidemiologist and prevention specialist. The project began as a weekly update service for the field of injury prevention and has since grown to include a comprehensive database of articles related to safety.

Features[edit | edit source]

SafetyLit provides weekly updates of the most recent articles in the field of injury prevention. It also maintains a searchable database of past articles. The database includes citations and abstracts of journal articles, conference papers, scholarly reports, theses and dissertations, and other relevant materials.
