Saint Stephen's Day, also known as the Feast of Saint Stephen, is a Christian holiday observed on 26 December in the Western Church and 27 December in the Eastern Church. It commemorates Saint Stephen, the first Christian martyr or protomartyr. The day is an official public holiday in many countries and is part of the Christmas holiday season.

Saint Stephen was one of the first deacons appointed by the Apostles to distribute food and aid to poorer members of the community in the early church. According to the Acts of the Apostles (Acts 6:1–6), Stephen was a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit. He was accused of blasphemy and, after a trial, was stoned to death, making him the first martyr of the Christian faith. His martyrdom is recounted in Acts 7:54–60.
