From late spring to early fall, the plant produces 1 to 2-foot tall inflorescences that bear whorls of flowers. These flowers range in color from pale pink to deep rose, attracting a variety of pollinators, including bees and hummingbirds.

Salvia eremostachya thrives in the desert and chaparral ecosystems of Southern and Baja California.
