Sam Ongeri is a Kenyan politician and former Minister of Foreign Affairs. He was born on February 23, 1938, in Kenya. Ongeri has been actively involved in Kenyan politics for several decades.

Sam Ongeri obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree from the University of Nairobi. He later pursued further studies in the field of medicine and obtained a Master of Medicine (MMed) degree in Internal Medicine.

Ongeri began his political career in the early 1980s and has held various positions within the Kenyan government. He served as a Member of Parliament for Kisii County and later as a Senator for the same region. Ongeri also served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Kenya.
