Samsø is a Danish island located in the Kattegat sea, off the Jutland Peninsula. The island is known for its agricultural products, particularly new potatoes, but also for its efforts in renewable energy.

Samsø is located in the central part of Denmark, in the Kattegat sea. The island covers an area of 114 square kilometers and has a population of approximately 3,724 people. The island is characterized by a varied landscape, with flat areas for agriculture, hills, and a coastline with both sandy and rocky beaches.

Agriculture is a significant part of Samsø's economy. The island is particularly known for its new potatoes, which are a popular Danish delicacy. The potatoes are grown in the fertile soil of the island and are harvested early in the year, hence the name "new potatoes".
