San Beda University (SBU) is a private Roman Catholic university located in Mendiola, Manila, in the Philippines. It was established in 1901 initially as an all-boys elementary school by the Benedictine monks. San Beda University is known for its law school, the College of Law, and its medical school, the San Beda College of Medicine. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs across various fields, including the arts, sciences, business, law, and medicine.

San Beda University was founded by Spanish Benedictine monks in 1901 as El Colegio de San Beda, starting with primary education for boys. It has grown significantly over the years, adding high school in 1904, and collegiate programs in the 1920s. The institution gained university status in 2017, marking a significant milestone in its history.
