Sapogne-et-Feuchères

Sapogne-et-Feuchères is a commune in the Ardennes department in the Grand Est region of north-eastern France. The inhabitants of the commune are known as Sapognards or Sapognardes.

Geography[edit | edit source]

Sapogne-et-Feuchères is located some 10 km south-east of Charleville-Mézières and 10 km north-west of Sedan. The D764 road from Francheval in the west to Sedan in the east passes through the southern part of the commune. The village can be accessed by the D764 road.

History[edit | edit source]

The commune was created in 1828 by the merger of the former communes of Sapogne and Feuchères.

Population[edit | edit source]

The population of Sapogne-et-Feuchères has been relatively stable over the past century, with a peak of 282 inhabitants in 1962.
