Sara Moulton is a renowned American chef, cookbook author, and television personality. She is best known for her work on the Food Network, where she hosted the cooking shows "Cooking Live," "Cooking Live Primetime," and "Sara's Secrets."

Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]

Sara Moulton was born on February 19, 1952, in New York City. She developed an interest in cooking from a young age, inspired by her mother and grandmother. Moulton attended the University of Michigan, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in the History of Ideas in 1974. She later pursued her culinary passion at the Culinary Institute of America, graduating in 1977.

Career[edit | edit source]

After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, Moulton began her career at Boston's famed Harvest Restaurant. She later moved to New York City, where she worked at several prestigious restaurants, including La Tulipe.

In 1982, Moulton joined Gourmet magazine as a test kitchen assistant and later became the magazine's executive chef. She held this position until the magazine's closure in 2009.

Moulton's television career began in 1996 when she started hosting "Cooking Live" on the Food Network. The show, which aired for six years, featured Moulton cooking meals live and answering viewer's culinary questions. She later hosted "Cooking Live Primetime" and "Sara's Secrets."

In addition to her television work, Moulton has authored several cookbooks, including "Sara Moulton Cooks at Home" and "Sara's Weeknight Meals."

Sara Moulton is married to Bill Adler, a music journalist. They have two children together.
