Sargent County is a county located in the U.S. state of North Dakota. As of the 2020 census, the population was 3,898. Its county seat is Forman. The county was created in 1883 and later organized in 1884. Sargent County is named in honor of H. H. Sargent, a businessman involved in the construction of the Northern Pacific Railway.
