Shantou University (STU; Chinese: 汕头大学) is a comprehensive public university located in Shantou, Guangdong Province, China. Founded in 1981, it is one of the key institutions of higher learning in the region, supported by the Li Ka Shing Foundation, the Ministry of Education, and the Guangdong Provincial Government.
