Shionogi
Shionogi & Co., Ltd. (Japanese: シオノギ株式会社) is a Japanese pharmaceutical company best known for developing Crestor. Medicines produced by Shionogi are often used to treat infections, pain, cardiovascular disease, and central nervous system disorders.

Shionogi was founded in Osaka in 1878 by Gisaburo Shiono. The company started as a small family business selling traditional herbal medicine. Over the years, Shionogi has grown into a major pharmaceutical company with a strong presence in the Japanese market and a growing influence globally.
