Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" is the oldest higher education institution in Bulgaria, established on October 1, 1888. The university bears the name of Saint Clement of Ohrid, a Bulgarian scholar and writer of the Middle Ages, and is located in the capital city, Sofia.
