Stephen Faraone
Stephen Faraone is a prominent psychiatrist and researcher known for his extensive work in the field of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). He is currently a Distinguished Professor at SUNY Upstate Medical University, where he also serves as the Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Psychiatry.

Faraone was born and raised in the United States. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he majored in psychology. He then pursued his PhD in psychology at the University of Iowa, where he developed a keen interest in psychiatric genetics.

After completing his PhD, Faraone joined the faculty at Harvard Medical School as a professor in the Department of Psychiatry. During his tenure at Harvard, he conducted extensive research on ADHD and other psychiatric disorders, contributing significantly to the understanding of these conditions.
In 2004, Faraone moved to SUNY Upstate Medical University, where he currently holds the position of Distinguished Professor.
