Susan Fiske

Susan Fiske is an American psychologist known for her work in the field of social psychology. She is currently the Eugene Higgins Professor of Psychology and Public Affairs at the Princeton University.

Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]

Fiske was born in the United States. She completed her undergraduate studies at Radcliffe College, where she received her B.A. in Social Relations. She then went on to earn her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Harvard University.

Career[edit | edit source]

Fiske has had a distinguished career in the field of social psychology. She is best known for her development of the Stereotype Content Model, a theoretical framework that explains how individuals perceive and judge others based on their social group memberships.

In addition to her academic work, Fiske has served in various leadership roles within the field of psychology. She has been the president of the Association for Psychological Science and the Society for Personality and Social Psychology. She has also served as the editor of the Annual Review of Psychology.
