Swell
Definition[edit | edit source]
In the context of medical use, to swell means an increase in size, usually due to excess fluid, abnormal growth such as a tumor, inflammation, injury or other process.
Other uses[edit | edit source]
- A rounded elevation (especially one on an ocean floor);
- It may also refer to a man who is much concerned with his dress and appearance; expand abnormally:
- Cause to become swollen or increase in size, magnitude, number, or intensity;
- Or become filled with pride, arrogance, or anger.
