Talesh County
Talesh County is a county in Gilan Province in Iran. The capital of the county is Hashtpar. At the 2006 census, the county's population was 179,499, in 43,474 families. The county is subdivided into three districts: the Central District, Asalem District, and Haviq District. The county has five cities: Hashtpar, Lisar, Asalem, Haviq, and Tul Tappeh.

Talesh County has a rich history dating back to the Achaemenid Empire, with numerous archaeological sites and historical monuments. The region was an important part of the Sassanid Empire and later played a significant role during the Islamic conquest of Persia.
