Tamara Awerbuch-Friedlander
Tamara Awerbuch-Friedlander is a notable biostatistician and mathematical biologist who has made significant contributions to the field of public health. She is currently a Senior Lecturer on Biostatistics at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Awerbuch-Friedlander was born and raised in Israel. She completed her undergraduate studies in mathematics and statistics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She then moved to the United States for her graduate studies, earning a Ph.D. in Biostatistics and Mathematical Biology from the Harvard University.

Awerbuch-Friedlander began her career as a researcher at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Her research focuses on the application of mathematical models to understand the spread and control of infectious diseases, particularly HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases. She has also worked on the mathematical modeling of cancer and the development of statistical methods for epidemiological studies.
In addition to her research, Awerbuch-Friedlander is also an educator. She has taught courses on biostatistics, mathematical biology, and public health at Harvard University. She has also supervised numerous doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows.
