The Good Doctor is an American television series that premiered on ABC on September 25, 2017. The series was developed by David Shore, who is also known for creating the medical drama House. The show is based on the South Korean series of the same name, which was created by Park Jae-bum.
Plot[edit | edit source]
The series follows Dr. Shaun Murphy, a young surgical resident with autism and savant syndrome, who relocates from a quiet country life to join the prestigious surgical unit at the fictional San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital. Shaun's unique medical skills and ability to see things in ways that others cannot make him an invaluable asset to the hospital, despite his struggles with social interactions and communication.
