Timothy Hollingsworth was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He developed a passion for cooking at a young age, which led him to pursue a career in the culinary arts. He attended the Culinary Institute of America, where he honed his skills and gained a deep understanding of the culinary arts.

Hollingsworth began his career at the age of 18, working in various restaurants in Texas. Hollingsworth worked at The French Laundry for over a decade, eventually becoming the restaurant's Chef de Cuisine.
In 2009, Hollingsworth represented the United States at the Bocuse d'Or, a prestigious international culinary competition. Although he did not win, his participation in the competition further established his reputation in the culinary world.
In 2015, Hollingsworth opened his own restaurant, Otium, in Los Angeles. The restaurant quickly gained popularity for its innovative menu and unique dining experience.
