The Tindal Centre (formerly Tindal Hospital) was a psychiatric facility located in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England. It was managed by the Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust.
History[edit | edit source]
The Tindal Centre had its origins as a workhouse infirmary built for the Aylesbury Poor Law Union Workhouse at Bierton Hill in the late 19th century. During the Second World War, it became known as Tindal Hospital. In more recent years, the main block of the facility was transformed into a mental health facility known as the Tindal Centre. However, in 2014, services were transferred to the Whiteleaf Centre in Aylesbury and the Tindal Centre was closed.
