Torrey C. Brown

Torrey C. Brown (December 28, 1937 – April 20, 2014) was an American physician, environmentalist, and politician. He is best known for his tenure as the Secretary of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and his contributions to environmental conservation in the state of Maryland.

Torrey C. Brown was born on December 28, 1937. He pursued his higher education at Johns Hopkins University, where he earned his medical degree. Brown's background in medicine provided him with a unique perspective on environmental health and conservation.

Brown was married and had children. He continued to be active in environmental causes until his passing on April 20, 2014.
