Tuntutuliak is a census-designated place (CDP) located in the Bethel Census Area, Alaska, United States. As of the 2010 Census, the population of the CDP was 408, up from 370 in 2000.

Geography[edit | edit source]

Tuntutuliak is located at 60°20′38″N 162°16′36″W (60.343975, -162.276720). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 119.4 square miles (309 km2), of which, 106.8 square miles (277 km2) of it is land and 12.6 square miles (33 km2) of it (10.57%) is water.

Demographics[edit | edit source]

As of the census of 2000, there were 370 people, 76 households, and 66 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 3.5 people per square mile (1.3/km²). There were 85 housing units at an average density of 0.8/sq mi (0.3/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 2.70% White, 0.27% Black or African American, 96.22% Native American, and 0.81% from two or more races.

Healthcare[edit | edit source]

Tuntutuliak is served by the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation. The Tuntutuliak Health Clinic is a Primary Health facility, which is run by the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation. It is a qualified Emergency Care Center and is categorized under Level IV trauma centers.

Education[edit | edit source]

The Lower Kuskokwim School District operates the Tuntutuliak School.
