UTC-4
UTC-4 is a time offset that subtracts 4 hours from Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). It is used in several countries and regions around the world as a standard time, and is also known as Atlantic Standard Time (AST).
Usage[edit | edit source]
UTC-4 is the standard time in several countries and regions. These include parts of Canada, such as the Atlantic provinces, and parts of the Caribbean, such as Barbados, Dominica, and the Dominican Republic. In the United States, it is used in the Eastern Time Zone during daylight saving time, and in the Atlantic Time Zone year-round.
Daylight Saving Time[edit | edit source]
In regions that observe Daylight Saving Time (DST), the time offset may change during certain parts of the year. For example, in the Eastern Time Zone of the United States, the time offset changes to UTC-5 during the winter months when DST is not in effect.
