From WikiMD's Food, Medicine & Wellness Encyclopedia

Unistraw is a company that specializes in the production of drinking straws with a unique design. The company's most notable product is the Sipahh, a straw filled with flavored beads that dissolve in milk to create a flavored drink.

History[edit | edit source]

Unistraw was founded in Australia in 1996 by Peter Baron. The company's initial product was the Unistraw Delivery System (UDS), a straw filled with small beads that dissolve in liquid to deliver a flavor or nutritional supplement. The UDS was patented in 1997.

In 2005, Unistraw launched the Sipahh milk flavoring straw, which quickly became the company's flagship product. The Sipahh straw contains less than half a teaspoon of sugar and is available in a variety of flavors, including chocolate, strawberry, and cookies and cream.

Products[edit | edit source]

Unistraw's product range includes the Sipahh milk flavoring straw, the Sipahh Plus straw with added vitamins and minerals, and the Sipahh Chilled straw for use in cold drinks. The company also produces a range of Unistraw Tubulars, which are larger straws designed for use in smoothies and shakes.

Etymology[edit | edit source]

The name "Unistraw" is a combination of the words "unique" and "straw", reflecting the company's focus on creating innovative straw-based products. The name "Sipahh" is a playful take on the word "sip", referring to the action of drinking through a straw.
