University of California, Davis (UC Davis) is a public university located in Davis, California, part of the University of California system. Established in 1905 as the University Farm, it became the seventh campus of the University of California in 1959. UC Davis is known for its commitment to sustainability, agricultural science, veterinary medicine, and engineering.

The origins of UC Davis begin in 1905 when the University Farm was established as an extension of the University of California, Berkeley, primarily focusing on agriculture.
