The University of Missouri–St. Louis (UMSL) is a public university located in St. Louis, Missouri. It is one of four universities in the University of Missouri System and was established in 1963. UMSL is the largest university in the St. Louis metropolitan area and offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and professional degree programs.

The University of Missouri–St. Louis was founded in 1963 following the acquisition of the former Bellerive Country Club by the University of Missouri System. The campus has since expanded and developed into a major educational institution in the region.
Academics[edit | edit source]
UMSL offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs across multiple disciplines. The university is organized into several colleges and schools, including:
- College of Arts and Sciences

The UMSL campus is located in the Normandy area of St. Louis. It features a mix of modern and historic buildings, including the Thomas Jefferson Library, the J.C. Penney Conference Center, and the Touhill Performing Arts Center.
Athletics[edit | edit source]
UMSL's athletic teams are known as the Tritons. They compete in the NCAA Division II and are members of the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC). The university offers a variety of sports, including basketball, soccer, volleyball, and golf.
