The University of Tehran (Persian: دانشگاه تهران), also known as UT, is a public research university located in Tehran, Iran. Established in 1934, it is the oldest modern university in Iran and is often referred to as "Iran's mother university". The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs and is known for its research output and academic excellence.
