The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine (UTRGV SOM) is a public medical school located in the Rio Grande Valley region of Texas. It is part of the University of Texas System and offers a range of medical education programs.

The UTRGV School of Medicine was established in 2013 as part of the creation of the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). The school was founded to address the shortage of healthcare professionals in the region and to improve access to medical education for students in South Texas. The inaugural class of medical students began their studies in 2016.

The UTRGV School of Medicine is headquartered in Edinburg, Texas, with additional facilities in Harlingen, Texas and Brownsville, Texas.
