Vestfold og Telemark is a county in Norway, established on January 1, 2020, through the merger of the former counties of Vestfold and Telemark. This administrative reform was part of a larger national effort to reduce the number of counties in Norway from 19 to 11. The county is located in the southeastern part of the country, extending from the Skagerrak coast to the mountainous areas bordering the county of Buskerud. The administrative center of Vestfold og Telemark is the city of Skien, which is one of the county's largest municipalities along with Tønsberg, Sandefjord, and Larvik.
