Vicks VapoRub
Vicks VapoRub is a popular over-the-counter medication that is commonly used to alleviate symptoms of a common cold or cough. It is a topical analgesic that combines several active ingredients to provide temporary relief from minor aches and pains that often accompany colds or flu.

Vicks VapoRub was first introduced in the United States in 1905 by Lunsford Richardson, a pharmacist in Greensboro, North Carolina. The product was named after Richardson's brother-in-law, Dr. Joshua Vick, a physician who had encouraged Richardson to experiment with new pharmaceutical products.

Vicks VapoRub contains several active ingredients:
- Camphor: A compound often used in topical creams and ointments for its pain-relieving properties.
- Menthol: A compound derived from peppermint oil that is used for its cooling and soothing effects.

- In nostrils.
- On wounds or damaged skin.
- With tight bandages.
- On children under two years of age.
