Vidus Vidius
Vidus Vidius (1509–1569) was an Italian anatomist and surgeon who made significant contributions to the field of medicine during the Renaissance. He is best known for his work in anatomy and his role as a professor at the University of Paris.

Vidus Vidius was born in Florence, Italy, in 1509. He studied medicine and anatomy under some of the most prominent physicians of his time. His early education was influenced by the works of Galen and other classical medical texts.

In 1542, Vidius was invited to the University of Paris by King Francis I of France to teach anatomy and surgery.
