Vietnam National Hospital of Pediatrics (VNHP) is a specialist medical facility located in Hanoi, Vietnam. It was initially established in 1969 as the Institute for the Protection of Children's Health and has undergone several name changes over the years, including Vietnam-Sweden Children’s Hospital, Olof Palme Pediatric Institute, and National Hospital of Pediatrics, before adopting its present name in 2016.[1]

The hospital follows the model of the pediatric department in Bach Mai Hospital and has become the leading pediatric center in Vietnam. It provides treatment for a wide range of medical conditions, including neurology, respiratory diseases, malnutrition, oncology, nephrology, endocrinology, hematology, cardiology, gastroenterology, surgery, neonatology, intensive care, emergency care, infectious diseases, psychiatry, anesthesiology, surgical recovery, traditional East Asian medicine, out-patient examination, and physiotherapy rehabilitation.

Each year, the Vietnam National Hospital of Pediatrics serves nearly 40,000 in-patients and 350,000 out-patients, and performs approximately 30,000 surgical operations. The hospital is also actively involved in scientific research and training in the field of pediatrics.

The hospital has established collaborations with international organizations and hospitals from around the world, including the Japan International Cooperation Agency, the Royal Children's Hospital of Melbourne, the TRAC (Training and Research Collaboration Sweden-Vietnam), the Friendship Organization ICPH of Sweden, the American Veterans Association, the REI Association of the USA, Atlantic Philanthropies, Project Vietnam, Dartmouth College, Samsung Medical Center of Korea, and Babino Gesú Hospital of Italy.
