Virginia Health Quality Center
Virginia Health Quality Center (VHQC) is a non-profit health quality consulting firm based in Richmond, Virginia. It was established in 1984 and is dedicated to improving health care quality and patient safety.

VHQC was founded in 1984 as a peer review organization under the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA). It was initially tasked with reviewing the quality of care provided to Medicare beneficiaries in Virginia. Over the years, VHQC has expanded its scope to include a wide range of health care quality improvement initiatives.

VHQC provides a variety of services to health care providers, including:
- Quality Improvement: VHQC works with health care providers to improve the quality of care they provide. This includes helping providers implement evidence-based practices, improve patient safety, and reduce health care disparities.

VHQC partners with a variety of organizations to improve health care quality. These include:
- Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS): VHQC is a Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) for CMS, working to improve the quality of care for Medicare beneficiaries.
- Virginia Department of Health: VHQC works with the Virginia Department of Health to improve the quality of care in the state.
- Healthcare Providers: VHQC works directly with healthcare providers, including hospitals, nursing homes, and physician practices, to improve the quality of care they provide.
