Vladislav Volkov (23 November 1935 – 30 June 1971) was a Soviet cosmonaut who tragically lost his life during a space mission. He was born in Moscow, Soviet Union.
Early Life and Career[edit | edit source]
Volkov began his career as a pilot before being selected as a cosmonaut in the 1966 Soviet Group. He underwent extensive training in preparation for his space missions.
Space Mission[edit | edit source]
Volkov's only space mission was aboard the Soyuz 7K-OKS spacecraft. The mission encountered a fatal accident during re-entry, resulting in the loss of Volkov's life along with his fellow crew members.
