Volini
Volini is a popular brand of pain relief medication available in the form of gels, sprays, and creams. It is widely used for providing temporary relief from minor aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with simple backache, arthritis, strains, bruises, and sprains. The active ingredients in Volini products typically include diclofenac, methyl salicylate, menthol, and sometimes linseed oil, which work together to provide anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.
Composition[edit | edit source]
Volini formulations generally contain a combination of the following active ingredients:
- Diclofenac: A nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that helps reduce inflammation and pain.
- Methyl Salicylate: Often used as a counterirritant to provide a cooling sensation that can temporarily override the sensation of pain.
- Menthol: Provides a cooling effect when applied to the skin, which helps to relieve pain.
- Linseed Oil: Sometimes included for its anti-inflammatory properties.
Usage[edit | edit source]
Volini is applied topically to the affected area, usually not more than 3 to 4 times daily. It is intended for external use only, and care should be taken to avoid contact with the eyes, mucous membranes, or open wounds. The product should be used with caution in individuals with sensitive skin and should not be applied to areas with infections or dermatitis.
Precautions[edit | edit source]
Before using Volini, it is important to read the label and follow the instructions provided. Individuals who are allergic to diclofenac, aspirin, or other NSAIDs should avoid using Volini. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a healthcare provider before using this product. If the condition worsens or if symptoms persist for more than 7 days, discontinue use and seek medical advice.
Side Effects[edit | edit source]
While Volini is generally safe when used as directed, some individuals may experience side effects such as skin irritation, redness, itching, or a burning sensation at the application site. Severe allergic reactions are rare but require immediate medical attention.
Availability[edit | edit source]
Volini is available over-the-counter (OTC) in many countries and can be found in pharmacies, drugstores, and some supermarkets. It is manufactured by Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., a multinational pharmaceutical company based in India.
