Włodzimierz Ptak (born November 2, 1928) is a renowned Polish immunologist and microbiologist. He is best known for his significant contributions to the field of immunology, particularly in the study of cell-mediated immunity and autoimmune diseases.

Włodzimierz Ptak was born in Kraków, Poland. He pursued his higher education at the Jagiellonian University, where he earned his medical degree in 1952. He later completed his Ph.D. in immunology under the mentorship of Professor Ludwik Hirszfeld.
