Walworth County is a county located in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 106,478. Its county seat is Elkhorn. The county was created in 1839 from part of Milwaukee County and organized in 1840.

Walworth County was established in 1839 and named after Reuben H. Walworth, a jurist from New York. The county has a rich history of agriculture and industry, with Elkhorn serving as the county seat since its inception.
Geography[edit | edit source]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 577 square miles (1,494 km²), of which 555 square miles (1,437 km²) is land and 22 square miles (57 km²) (3.8%) is water. The county is part of the Southern Wisconsin region and features a mix of rolling hills, lakes, and farmland.

The racial makeup of the county was predominantly White, with small percentages of other races including African American, Asian, and Native American.
